Buying a used car (or a new one for that matter), doesn't have to be the "nightmare" most of us associate with the task. Actually, one of the results of the widespread use of the internet is the positive effect it's had on the car buying experience.
There's just so much information now available at our figure tips that we can take care of much of the shopping process right from the comfort of our own homes. We can also become much more informed so that we're able to avoid being taken advantage of. There's just tremendous amounts of information out there.
The internet has also pressured car dealers to adapt to this new "savvy car shopper" environment with more consumer friendly policies. I've read recently that over 80% of car buyers are now doing at least some of their shopping on the internet.
As for ourselves, we started out in March of 2003, having zero experience selling cars. We just hated the process of buying them and felt that the internet could provide a much more positive path for consumers. And we're quite sure that if it wasn't for the internet, we wouldn't be here today.
