Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black On The Track At Full Throttle
Well, this is the first look at the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black in action.
And at a price of $320,000 and with only 200 coming to the U.S. early in 2009, this may be as close as many of us will come to one.
This SL65 has a twin-turbocharged 6.0 liter V12 engine capable of 661-horsepower and is fed massive amounts of air through 7 air vents. And instead of the retractable roof found in the stock SL65, the Black is outfitted with a carbon fiber hood (as well as trunk and fenders) with an intergrated roll cage. This also lightens the vehicle by 550 pounds.
The Black goes from 0 to 60 in a scant 3.9 seconds and tops out at 199 miles per hour.
